I started DateWire.com in 2004 after graduating from the UConn School of Pharmacy to allow a safe forum for singles to interact. Many of our subscribers are busy professionals who are tired of the bar scene or simply too busy to meet other singles. After reaching a point where I could no longer deal with the bar scene, I signed up to DateWire after hearing about it from a friend. That was 8 months ago, and I'm pleased to announce that I not only met the man of my dreams but he also proposed to me last month on a New York dinner cruise and we're now engaged.
